The “Squier” series by Fender is well known in electric guitar circles as a solid choice for the beginner guitarist. However, not many people know that there are also acoustic guitars with this name, too! That’s why, we just couldn’t go without a Squier acoustic guitar review!
The Fender Squier Acoustic Guitar bundle brings together the quality and great reputation of the Fender company, with the affordability of the Squier range.
The Squier Acoustic Guitar is a full sized, dreadnaught style guitar. The solid spruce top with laminated agathis back and sides produce a warm and vibrant tone.
Also, the included accessories mean you can truly get the most out of this guitar with no previous experience or knowledge.
Overall: (3.5 / 5)

What We liked
Well, this is a Fender guitar- a very well known and successful brand of guitar manufacturers! You have to be aware that these guys really know what they’re doing when it comes to building guitars. This acoustic guitar is no exception.
The guitar has an OK action (distance between strings and frets), which is a bonus for a guitar in the “beginner” range. This obviously makes the guitar much easier to play, as you don’t have to push the strings down as far to sound a note.
The included accessories are also a great addition. The tuner and pitch pipes will ensure you’re able to tune the guitar when you first get it- something that would be a real pain without these as a beginner!
The assortment of picks is a nice addition, and lets you “try out” different sizes and styles of pick so you can find the one that you prefer.
What We didn’t like
As with the majority of these Guitar Starter Packages, the quality of many of the items isn’t always the best. The guitar and accessories in this package are great for beginners and people only just starting out with the instrument, but don’t expect professional results with this guitar.
Having said that, this is a Fender guitar, and the build quality of the instrument cannot be faulted. Truthfully, this guitar sounds really warm, and bright and will stay in tune well due to the chrome tuning pegs.
You may want to buy a better gig bag, however, if you plan on transporting this guitar around quite often. The one that comes in the set is a little flimsy and thin, and the DVD that is shipped with some orders is extremely basic.
Overall Squier Acoustic Guitar Review
Overall this is a great beginner guitar package, at a great price. This is exactly what you would expect from such a brand as Fender- and it’s on a par with the quality of the Squier Electric Guitar range.
The added tuner, and selection of picks mean that you can really start using this guitar right away, and the spare set of strings are there just in case you break a string.
Breaking strings is a rare occurrence, unless your stings are quite old. Depending on how often you play, the installed set plus the additional spare set of strings could last 6 months or more (plenty of time to get learning!).
A fantastic beginner guitar set, with a great tone and all the accessories that you’ll need to get started. I hope you’ve enjoyed this Squier acoustic guitar review.
